We had an amazing time exploring downtown and German Village with Melody and Brian. Their evening engagement session continued after dark so that we could get some gorgeous night shots of the city and romantic evening lighting in German Village.

Daniel and Catherine have one of the most interesting love stories we have ever heard. This couple has seen the world together, and have many adventures ahead. Because of their unique story, we asked them to share their story in their own words!

Greg and Tiffany were married on an early April day In Columbus, Ohio. The day began at the Columbus Renaissance. We walked into the groom's hotel room and immediately heard the dads and groomsmen cracking joke after joke. After a traffic-stopping session with the guys, we headed to Tiffany's room.

Kara and Paul's August wedding boasted simplistic, modern detail in every corner. The couple got ready at the Hilton in downtown Columbus, a stylish setting for the chic couple. Paul stepped into his custom suit (which was embroidered underneat the collar with their wedding date), and Kara stepped into her whimsical gown made by Paloma Blanca.

Dorit and Brandon’s early September wedding brought in elements of Jewish tradition and modern elegance. The day started with the women getting ready at Michael Garcia’s in Bexley. The ladies sipped on Starbucks as they got their hair and make-up done. Meanwhile, the men were getting ready on location at Franklin Park Conservatory.

As many of you know, my wife and I have recently teamed up to start a separate photography business, Design Studio Creative, specializing in dance photography. We submitted some of our work to ShootProof, a blog who was doing a story on personal projects of working photographers. We are honored to say our project was chosen, and is featured with 6 other "passion projects." This business is so important to us, as it combines our two loves - dance and photography. Maureen and John's early November wedding was just perfect. The couple got ready at the historic Westin right in downtown Columbus. This central hotel gave us the chance to explore downtown and find a mix of classic and urban backdrops. After first looks between Maureen and her father and then the bride and groom, it was into the limo and off the Shiller Park in German Village.

Sophie is a senior at Upper Arlington High School in Columbus, Ohio. Upon graduation, she will be heading to art school! After talking to Sophie and her family, we knew she would want her senior portrait session to include some unique backdrops to help capture her artistic interests and personality.

Sarah and Brad's Columbus Athenaeum wedding will always be special to us for many reasons, the biggest being that I was a surprise for the bride! The bride's mother was particularly picky about wedding photos because she is a retired wedding photographer of 30 years. So, she did tons of research, contacted me, and together we got to surprise Sarah and Brad with a wedding package.

Abby and Bryan's fall wedding was laced with rustic charm, warm colors, and wooded scenery. Canyon Run Ranch was the perfect setting for a relaxed, yet elegant, wedding. The day started with Bryan and his groomsmen getting ready on-site. The groom's joyous demeanor made for an easy and fun photo shoot. After the groom and his groomsmen had channeled their inner GQ models, we headed over to Abby's dressing room.

There is nothing quite like a Modern Jewish Orthodox Wedding. I love the when I get the opportunity to photograph one of these weddings, especially since there are so many exciting parts of the day to look forward to. From the signing of the Ketubah to the breaking of the plate, there are so many moments to photograph.
