We had an amazing time exploring downtown and German Village with Melody and Brian. Their evening engagement session continued after dark so that we could get some gorgeous night shots of the city and romantic evening lighting in German Village.

Fall engagement photos always end up being some of our favorites. Many couples come into an engagement session with a mixture of nerves, excitement, and apprehension. Often times, we find the majority of people are a bit afraid of the camera. We always use engagement sessions as a warm-up for their wedding day.

As many of you know, my wife and I have recently teamed up to start a separate photography business, Design Studio Creative, specializing in dance photography. We submitted some of our work to ShootProof, a blog who was doing a story on personal projects of working photographers. We are honored to say our project was chosen, and is featured with 6 other "passion projects." This business is so important to us, as it combines our two loves - dance and photography. Ashley is a senior at Pickerington. She was so much fun to photograph for her senior portrait session! This girl loved the camera - and the camera loves her back! We got lucky with the weather and had a beautiful, warm(ish) fall day to explore the Park of Roses. Even in late November, the colors were absolutely stunning, and offered a bright back ground to match Ashley's lively personality.

We had an amazing time working with Lana, a student at Watterson High School in Clintonville, Ohio. Senior portraits  are always full of excitement and nostalgia. This time in a young person's life is filled with anticipation of the next big chapter in their lives.
