A Great Gatsby Themed Wedding
An Art Deco Inspired Wedding
Greg and Tiffany were married on an early April day In Columbus, Ohio. The day began at the Columbus Renaissance. We walked into the groom's hotel room and immediately heard the dads and groomsmen cracking joke after joke. After a traffic-stopping session with the guys, we headed to Tiffany's room. Her calm demeanor took command of the camera. After capturing her in her lace, Essence of Australia gown, we headed to the rooftop of the Renaissance for the bridal session with her easy-going bridesmaids. After an emotional first look with her dad, Tiffany got ready to see Greg for the first time. The moment was perfect as Greg adoringly look at his bride. Greg and Tiffany, along with their bridal party enjoyed an urban, roof top photo shoot overlooking the Columbus city skyline. We then headed to the Ohio Statehouse for formals.
As we were enjoying our time with the bride, groom and bridal party, one of the most special moments of the day happened. A little girl who was walking by the Statehouse with her family saw Tiffany and thought she was a real princess. She just had to jump in for a photo with the princess who was dressed in a beautiful white gown shimmering under the sunlight. What a wonderful moment before heading to the church.
The couple had a beautiful ceremony at Peace Lutheran Church. After their first kiss, it was time to head to the Columbus Athenaeum to have a rip-roarin', 1920's party. The Great Gatsby theme was felt throughout the entirety of the ballroom; the floral arrangements were laced with feathers, the decor was art deco, and the incredible band was playing jazz and swing. Every detail was perfectly executed to achieve an elegant, yet fun themed wedding.
Some things I will always remember about this wedding: the groomsmen had me laughing non-stop during our session, the bride's fathers enthusiastic strut after seeing his daughter for the first time, the performances by the Broadway singer who was also in the family, and of course the little girl who thought she saw a real princess.
