Many couples dream of getting married in the woods and exchanging their wedding vows under gorgeous, majestic trees. My couple, Merrianna and Nathan, turned it into a reality when they chose to get married at The Grand Barn at The Mohicans in Glenmont. It was a November wedding, and it was absolutely beautiful. Though the pandemic made planning weddings even more challenging, Merrianna and Nathan had planned everything with attention to detail (and safety) and celebrated their special day with just their close family members.

The Grand Barn at The Mohicans is a unique venue with rustic vibes in the heart of the Mohican Valley. Surrounded by beauty on all sides, there were so many spots for taking photos of my couple at The Grand Barn. And as you can probably see, I couldn't get enough of the couple's portraits. The ambiance inside was all about romance and elegance, and I was so thankful that we added getting ready photos to the wedding photography timeline. After Merrianna was all dressed up, I took some bridal portraits on the stairs, and then we went out for some photos with the bridesmaids.
When it was time for the first look, I just knew I was going to witness something incredible! My bride and groom looked at each other with so much love. At the ceremony, live music filled the air, and the whole room just lit up! It was a religious and emotion-filled ceremony with guests showering Merriana and Nathan all the love and support.
My bride had some fun with her bridesmaids during the reception, and I loved seeing her enjoy her big day. There were traditional dances before the dance floor was opened for the guests. While everyone was still having a blast at the party, I sneaked my couple out for some more couple photos. And I got to take even more pictures of them during the sparkler exit. I loved how they were such great sports about being in front of the camera.
