As a wedding photographer, I have seen and captured love in all shapes and forms. But the joy I feel when working at incredible venues like The Dayton Art Institute and even more wonderful couples like Devon and Matt cannot be described in words. As a bridesmaid in a previous wedding, Devon had seen my work and trusted me to capture the love between her and Matt in the most enchanting way possible. And we did just that! This New Year's Eve wedding was nothing short of fabulous - from their heartfelt first look to their celebratory reception, everything was just perfect. And I had a great time blending it all to document their beautiful love story.

Devon And Matt’s The Dayton Art Institute Wedding

There's something extraordinary about capturing the raw excitement and emotion that a couple feels before they say "I do." I was thrilled to start Devon and Matt's big day photographing it all, and it was amazing! It was hard not to get caught up in the joyous energy of the beautiful couple, surrounded by their loved ones. Devon had a special moment with her bridesmaids before she donned her wedding dress. And when she did, I was absolutely stunned by her gorgeous bridal look! Matt was no less impressive, as he donned a perfectly tailored suit and looked every bit the dashing groom.

My heart was practically bursting with joy as I captured Devon and Matt's first look! I could feel the love radiating off of them as they embraced each other - it was a heartwarming moment. And can we talk about the stunning couples portraits? The venue had the most breathtaking architecture and picturesque backdrops, inside and out, that made every frame a masterpiece. Plus, Devon and Matt's effortless love made the shoot a breeze, and I found myself grinning from ear to ear as I clicked away.

Devon and Matt had a remarkable indoor ceremony. From the moment I walked in, I was blown away by just how gorgeous everything looked. The interiors were spectacular, the decor was stunning, and, of course, the couple themselves were absolutely radiant. As they exchanged vows and said their 'I do's,' surrounded by all of their loved ones, it truly felt like the start of something magical. I captured every moment of this incredible union and felt honored to be a part of it all.

Before we talk about Matt and Devon's fantastic reception, let me tell you about their exquisite wedding cake. Apart from being a masterpiece in design, I loved the cake topper! What was so special about it, you ask? It had the timeless "Always" (with the Harry Potter's Deathly Hallows symbol) - if you know, you know! I, for one, was in awe of how thoughtfully these lovebirds incorporated this exceptional detail into their wedding day!

As the party began, the newlyweds had their beautifully choreographed first dance! Capturing Matt twirl Devon lovingly was just surreal. In no time, everyone joined in, and it was a blast. What followed were crazy moves and a night full of dancing! Let's just say Devon and Matt, along with their oh-so-fun wedding party REALLY KNEW how to party!
