Megan And Derek | Revery Rooftop Wedding
I've said this before and I will say it again - being a wedding photographer is such an awesome job! There's nothing quite like the honor of capturing such an important day in people’s lives. All the amazing folks I get to meet, the amazing locations I get to explore, and the thrill of it all are what keep me going! For Megan and Derek's wedding, I had not one but four different Columbus locations to cover - each one just as amazing as I wanted it to be. Here's a glimpse of all the fun we had.
Megan And Derek’s Wedding Day
Megan and Derek's wedding was beautiful from start to finish. I started my day by photographing the bride as she got ready for the big day. Megan looked absolutely gorgeous in her wedding dress, and she was clearly excited to get married to the love of her life. And the glow on her face - that’s something no makeup artist can recreate!
The couple had a lovely wedding ceremony at St Charles, which also offered the perfect backdrop for their wedding portraits. Megan and Derek were surrounded by their loved ones as they said I do, and just by looking at their excitement, you could tell these two couldn’t wait to get married. It was absolutely amazing to witness the love between them, and such a joy to be able to capture those moments for them.
Megan and Derek had their couples portraits taken at Jeffrey Mansion and the Franklin Park Conservatory, and they were both absolutely perfect locations for their photo shoot. Jeffrey Mansion was beautifully landscaped and had tons of little nooks and crannies for us to explore and get creative with. The conservatory was an oasis in the middle of the city, and it was so amazing to be able to walk around and take photos among all the exotic plants and flowers.
As I took their portraits as newlyweds, I got a better glimpse of Megan and Derek’s bond. During this time, the couple was finally able to soak in the fact that they were husband and wife, and they were just so happy to be with each other. Smiling from ear to ear, they simply focused on each other as I took their photos. I especially loved the portraits we took in the park. The light was just perfect, and the fall backdrop was simply breathtaking. Thanks to these lovebirds, there was already plenty of love in the air, and when we added the fall setting to the mix, things just got even better.
The Revery was the perfect location for their fun and festive reception. Megan and Derek had so much fun celebrating their special day with their friends and families. They laughed and danced and sang the night away. It was an absolutely magical evening, and I feel so happy to have captured these precious memories for them.
