Kelly & Chris’s University Of Dayton Engagement Shoot
When my couples revisit a place for a photo shoot where they first met, I get as excited as them. There’s a hint of nostalgia, a beautiful connection with the location, and a million stories to recall. Such amazing details make the place so much more special when it comes to documenting my couples’ stories at a location that is so close to their heart. On top of it, to see them so happy and elated fills my heart with joy. Recently, when I did an engagement session for my couple Kelly and Chris at the University of Dayton, I experienced something similar yet again. What a lovely day it was, and we had such a great time together. The cream and brick-red buildings, earthy concrete structures, railings, stairs, and the verdant foliage made for stunning backdrops to create my couple’s photos against. We enjoyed every bit of this session, and the result was some gorgeous engagement images.
University of Dayton Engagement Photography
Kelly and Chris had met at the University of Dayton, which is where I traveled to do their engagement photos. The hallowed university campus offered us some beautiful backdrops to tell the story Kelly and Chris wanted to convey through their engagement photography. From towering trees to majestic university halls, those vintage railings and lamps added a hint of old-world charm to the photos, and with my couple’s attire for the session gelling so well with the surroundings, the photos turned out to look amazing.
The natural lighting was abundant, and my couple was a sport when it came to trying different poses. In fact, they were so photogenic and comfortable in front of the camera that it was even more fun for me to create their engagement images. Their charming smiles, leisurely walks around the campus, and little conversations filled with affection for each other just lit up the whole session. I felt so relaxed and got effortlessly sweet and romantic photos of Kelly and Chris. Also, witnessing my beautiful couple relive their memories at the university was an honor.
My favorite part of this session was the way my couple interacted with each other. Lost in each other’s love, they held hands, hugged each other, and the way Kelly rested her head on Chris’s shoulders was super cute. If anyone saw them at that moment, they would have immediately known that these two are just meant for each other. As a photographer, it was one of those creatively satisfying workdays for me - when your couple’s chemistry is so on point that all you have to do is just find the ideal light and angles and shoot away! Kelly and Chris, I hope you like your engagement photos as much as I loved creating them with you two at the University of Dayton.
