Having your near and dear ones around you on your wedding day could be such a great feeling and more so when you are really looking forward to all that love and support. The bonus is when your people sprinkle the magic of their skills to add a personal touch and make your big day even more special and memorable than it already is. I believe it is just a way of showering their affection on you that not only makes them happy and feel so involved in the celebration but also gives them a chance to showcase their talent. I feel so fortunate that my profession allows me to witness such beautiful bonds and gestures of love. And this is something I experienced again at my lovely couple Jessica and Andre’s wedding at Scioto Reserve Country Club in Powell. It was an awe-inspiring celebration full of love, laughter, genuine emotions, and fun. I enjoyed photographing everyone against the stellar backdrops that the Scioto Reserve had to offer and loved to see close ones joining in to celebrate my couple’s union.

I began photographing this celebration from the time my bride and groom were getting ready separately. I took photos of wedding details, solo portraits of Jessica and Andre, and their photos with the bridesmaids and the groomsmen. The images turned out to look so amazing.

It was a very intimate wedding where the family was clearly the most important part of the day. The groom, Andre, is from the Caribbean. He has two kids, who were a huge part of the wedding day. My bride’s uncle, Thom Bonnema, is a florist and did all the amazing room decor. It was clearly a professional hand at work right there! I’d say it wasn’t just a display of flowers but lots of love for my couple.

From my bride’s first look for her dad to the one for the kids, I just loved witnessing the flow of such raw and heartfelt emotions. The expressions were so sweet and organic. Jessica’s first look for Andre was so wonderful too. Andre had a really adorable reaction that I immediately captured on my camera. After that, we did a quick couples photo session. The lighting, the pretty florals, the eye-soothing color scheme of the surroundings made for great images. I also took a picture of my couple with the kids during this course.

My couple had a beautiful ceremony and a fantastic reception. The gorgeous warm lighting indoors, the candle lights, and the floral arrangements on the tables exuded elegance and also set up a romantic mood. Before everyone got to the reception site, I made sure I took a few pictures of my charming couple amid all the fresh and untouched decorations. Soon, it was time for the speeches and the cake cutting, and then, the party.

Though I loved creating all the wedding images throughout, the ones that stood out for me are of my couple outdoors at night. The snowfall made it more dreamy and my couple looked like royals as they held hands and soaked in the vibes. The sparkler exit was truly ethereal! The excitement of the guests and the way they all cheered for Jessica and Andre just warmed my heart.

Jessica and Andre, you two are made for each other! I love you two and your wedding was simply classy. I had fun in your company and loved meeting the kids as well as your other guests. Creating all those stellar images at an extraordinary venue such as the Scioto Reserve Country Club was a pleasure.
