Personal, energetic, and beautiful - these words accurately describe why I love intimate weddings so much. There's something so special about being able to capture the love and connection between a couple on their wedding day without any distractions. And don't get me wrong, I LOVE big fat weddings. It’s just that with intimate weddings, I get more time to be wit the couple. Surrounded by their closest people, Julie and Matthew got married in an intimate wedding ceremony at the Dragonfly Vineyard and Wine Cellar. The vineyard setting was exactly what my couple had planned for their special day, and it had tons of photo ops for the couple and their guests too.
Julie And Matthew’s Urbana Wedding
Julie and Matthew's wedding was a gorgeous rustic affair set against the backdrop of a beautiful vineyard in Urbana. The wedding venue, Dragonfly Vineyard and Wine Cellar was the perfect setting for their rustic barn wedding theme. The couple chose a warm autumnal palette for their decor, with rich oranges and reds complementing the natural wood aesthetic of the barn. It was such an amazing day and from the stunning bridal bouquet to the wedding cake - every little flawless detail combined to make for a truly unique and rich experience for everyone who gathered to celebrate the couple’s union.
It was lovely photographing Julie and Matthew's intimate wedding ceremony. The two of them were glowing the entire time, and their love for each other was so evident in every moment. The vineyard's picturesque grounds doubled up as lovely backdrops for the couples portraits. It was a beautiful fall day with the leaves just starting to transform and the perfect light for pictures. But what really made the day special was the energy of the happy newlyweds.
The connection between Julie and Matthew was simply undeniable. The two of them smiled as they gazed into each other's eyes and looked so happy to be spending the rest of their lives with each other. They also had some fun posing with some pumpkins, which were the perfect props for their fall wedding photos. Though we did get some rain, it was just enough to get some wonderful photos in the rain. They laughed and smiled their way through the session and were such a joy to photograph.
It was a warm reception filled with lots of love and laughter. The light was perfect, the colors were beautiful, and the joy was contagious. The couple and their family members danced the night away. Julie and Matthew were clearly head-over-heels in love, and it was an honor to capture their big day.
