Jennifer & Christian's Columbus Athenaeum Wedding

Columbus Athenaeum Wedding | Jennifer & Christian

First looks always melt my heart. The whole build-up from when the bride taps the groom on his shoulders to that unfiltered and emotional reaction from the groom when he turns around to see the love of his life - that is simply incomparable for me. And photographing these beautiful and raw moments will always be an honor for me. At Jennifer and Christian's wedding, I got to witness not one but two wondrous first looks. Their wedding at the Columbus Athenaeum was simply gorgeous and filled with love, laughter, and support from their families.

Columbus Athenaeum Wedding Photography

Jennifer and Christian had a COVID wedding with just close ones in attendance. Columbus Athenaeum's vintage charm and striking architecture perfectly complemented the couple and their wedding plans. From a grand ballroom to a century-old wedding chapel, the Athenaeum certainly houses some exquisite attractions for couples (and wedding photographers too!). Besides small and intimate weddings, it also has space for large and extravagant affairs. Plus, the venue has a team of event professionals, which makes hosting weddings at the Athenaeum stress-free. It also offers an extensive menu that can be tailored to your needs.

On their wedding day, I started photographing my couple from the time they began getting ready. And while I adore the solo portraits of my bride and groom and even the group shots with their bridal party, it is the first look photos that stand out for me. During her first look for her dad, Jennifer was overwhelmed with emotions, whereas Christian couldn't control his tears of joy when he saw his gorgeous bride. They held each other's hands and embraced, and in that moment, I just knew these two were meant to be together. The ceremony was sweet and emotion-filled. The reception was lovely with traditional dances, lots of romance, and heartwarming moments.
