Danielle & Josh | The Bluestone Wedding

"Love is what happens when two hearts find their happy place right beside each other." I read this a long time ago, and I feel incredibly lucky to be able to witness this in real life when I photograph my couples. And I experienced this again at Danielle and Josh's wedding, which was all about celebrating love and romance. My couple had a lovely ceremony at the St Mary Catholic Church in the historic German Village, Columbus, and a reception at The Bluestone.

Thanks to how we bonded during their engagement session at the German village, I was so happy to see Danielle and Josh super comfortable in front of the camera. I had enjoyed being Danielle and Josh's engagement photographer, and their wedding was no different. It was fun right from the beginning! The boys got ready at their apartment, and the girls got ready at the church.

After Danielle was all dressed up and ready to walk down the aisle, she had a first look for her dad, and his reaction was heartwarming. This father-daughter duo is one of the most precious ones I've ever seen. Even though I get to see first looks for dads quite often, they stir up some emotions in me every time. It's just such a beautiful moment between a father and his little girl, who is not so little anymore. I took some family portraits and then some fun photos of the groom with his groomsmen. And then it was time for Danielle's first look for Josh. Josh's reaction was basically picture-perfect! The groom just couldn't stop admiring his soon-to-be wife.

The ceremony was sweet and simple, and I got some fantastic shots of my couple and the guests in this gorgeous church. After the ceremony, I got the wedding party together and took some group photos with the bride and groom. I also got some romantic couple portraits of the newlyweds right after the ceremony.

At The Bluestone, the lighting was great for dreamy portraits. It was a concert hall cum wedding venue with elegant interiors, perfect for reception photos. Plus, my couple's decor choice was fantastic too! The speeches were humorous as well as emotional. Danielle's dad's speech was so heartfelt that it made everyone cry. They clearly shared a strong bond, and his words and their father-daughter dance were proof of that. Josh also had his share of parental love from his mom, who looked at her son with pride and awe throughout the wedding and had a lovely mother-son dance with him at the reception. It's always heartwarming to see my couples surrounded by so much love and positivity, especially from their families!
