Caitlin and Ryan | The Bluestone Columbus OH Wedding
Every wedding for me is unique. No matter the venue, or time of day or time of year, the experience that I deliver is unique as the couple because every one of them has a different story to tell. It is always an honor to be able to tell that love story through the wedding photos I capture as they celebrate their special day with their loved ones. Caitlin and Ryan's wedding at The Bluestone in Columbus, Ohio was no exception.
Caitlin and Ryan’s Wedding Day
The Bluestone is the perfect setting for a Columbus Ohio wedding. It’s set in a convenient location in the heart of downtown Columbus, and is very unique in that it is a 115 year old church converted into a venue! Talk about history! The high cathedral ceilings, stained glass, Gothic architecture, and the carefully landscaped grounds with lush gardens and towering trees make it a popular wedding venue choice among couples. I am always thrilled when I have the chance to photograph here!
Caitlin was absolutely radiant in her wedding dress, and Ryan looked incredibly handsome in his black tuxedo. Caitlin and Ryan's first look was absolutely magical and I was able to get some fantastic couples photos of them inside the venue. Their chemistry was off the charts! We were able to go outside for the bridal party photos with the groomsmen and bridesmaids which allowed us to get the Columbus cityscape as the backdrop.
Surrounded by family and friends, all of whom were celebrating their love, Caitlin and Ryan both were radiating with joy. It was an absolutely perfect day, and I feel so lucky to have been a part of it. The lighting was on-point and with so many picturesque spots at the gorgeous venue, I knew I was going to have a blast capturing my couple’s precious moments. The wedding ceremony was beautiful, and Caitlin's father walking her down the aisle was definitely a highlight.
The inside of the wedding venue is just as stunning as the outside. The towering ceilings paired with the large and intricate stained glass windows create stunning settings presenting endless opportunities for stellar images. There was another breathtaking spot for my couples' portraits around every corner. Caitlin and Ryan were so natural and romantic with each other that it made my job effortless.
Their wedding reception was also so much fun to photograph! My couple was clearly having a great time celebrating with their friends and family, and their joy was absolutely contagious. Their first dance as husband and wife was especially sweet, and they looked so in love as they swayed back and forth to the music. The traditional cake cutting was also a lot of fun, as both of them playfully shoved cake in each other's face. It was clear that everyone had a great time. The venue staff were extremely professional and helpful, and made sure that the wedding was perfect.
