When Lawn Squad approached me to revamp their brand imagery, the goal was clear: capture the dedication, precision, and high-quality equipment that sets their team apart. As a landscaping and lawn care company, their "office" is the great outdoors, which presents a unique and exciting set of variables for a branding photoshoot.

The Challenge: Capturing Action in the Elements Shooting environmental portraits and action shots in the field means working alongside the elements. Our primary challenge on this shoot was balancing natural outdoor light while clearly highlighting Lawn Squad’s specialized machinery and their team's hands-on attention to detail. The client needed a versatile image library that felt authentic and hard-working, yet polished enough for high-end digital and print advertising campaigns.

The Execution & Equipment To execute this, we needed to move quickly on location while maintaining absolute image quality. I relied on my professional camera systems to provide the massive dynamic range necessary to retain crisp details in both the bright midday skies and the deep shadows of the heavy landscaping equipment. By incorporating high-speed sync off-camera lighting, we were able to control the contrast and make Lawn Squad’s vibrant branding and uniforms truly pop against the natural environments.

We focused on a mix of wide, collaborative shots showing the crew working in harmony, alongside tight, detailed images of their craftsmanship.

The Result The Lawn Squad team's professionalism and clear vision made the day seamless. The final gallery delivers a cohesive suite of visual assets that perfectly communicates their value proposition to their ideal customers. It was a great collaborative effort that resulted in imagery as sharp as their landscaping work.
