Eddie & Casey’s Engagement At The German Village, Columbus
Engagement sessions are always fun to shoot! Even more so if the couple in question is an outdoorsy, fun-loving, ready-to-pose duo as Eddie and Casey. These two have charismatic personas, and as the images tell, they are literally inseparable. The classic hand-hold, bend the knee, lean against the wall, you got all the poses. The couple was quick and eager to take the posing cues and added their charm to make the scene their own. And that’s the best part of engagement sessions - you get to know and see your couple as they truly are in their comfort zone. Just the two of them, not the bridal party, not the guests, or the drama associated with everything a wedding might bring forth!
Eddie & Casey's Engagement At The German Village
Eddie and Casey both fancied exploring the historic neighborhood of The German Village, Columbus. So no questions asked; it was decided that it is where they will have their engagement session. And as their photographer, I say that’s one brilliant location to get some stellar photographs as well as set up a proposal. The German Village is a mosaic of restored brick houses, historic bookstores, art galleries, German pubs, cafes, and more. And yes, it is as good as it sounds.
Sometimes the best proposals are the ones that have the best timing. Not the sudden tap at the back or the over-the-top dramatic declare, but the ones that you have said “yes” to in your mind a thousand times over. Eddie and Casey’s engagement was no different! The couple knew it was coming and just wanted to celebrate the moment when it finally did happen. They knew the timing was right and decided to seize the moment.
This much-in-love couple went for a casual and simplistic theme for their engagement session and brought so much charm to the session with the great chemistry they share. The images are a sheer reflection of the love they have for each other. And for me, it was a fun day at work - bonding with these two lovebirds, giving them posing cues, and watching them burst into peals of laughter every now and then.
One of my favorite times of the day was whenever I asked them to lock their eyes and face each other. The hint of a flirtatious smile and the dreamy glances they stole of each other was just priceless! I don’t know how they always managed to pull that look, but these two are natural posers and head over heels in love - no surprises there!
