Brittany & Robby | Columbus Hilton Downtown and Scioto Mile Engagement

Columbus has so many amazing locations for both engagements and weddings. From unique architecture to lush and colorful parks - you can get the best of both worlds here and even more. For Brittany and Robby’s engagement session, we chose the Columbus Hilton Downtown and Scioto Mile as the locations for the shoot, so we had a great mix of backdrops for their photos. Without an iota of doubt, this was one of the loveliest couples I’ve had the pleasure to work with. They were total pros in front of the camera! So Brittany and Robby, if you are reading this, I am open to working with you guys whenever you want! 

Brittany And Robby’s Columbus Engagement Session

The couple chose two outfits for their engagement session, and they went for a casual/cool vibe, which perfectly matched their personalities, too. Brittany and Robby were so comfortable with each other, and they shared such a naturally amazing chemistry, making it really easy to showcase that in their photos. Instead of caring about what their photos were going to look like, these lovebirds chose to focus on each other, and in the middle of their conversations and little inside jokes is where I was able to capture their true essence - as individuals and as a couple. An image of a couple laughing together will always have my heart! 

We had a lot of time together, so I was not only able to experiment with poses and angles but we were also able to change locations, which is always good to get for variety. And since the Columbus Hilton Downtown and Scioto Mile have such drastically different surroundings, I was able to get both - architectural and natural elements - in Brittany and Robby’s engagement photographs. 

What remained constant throughout the day were the big smiles on Brittany and Robby’s faces. It was so evident that they were 100% in that moment and I wouldn’t want it any other way. These two had such fantastic energy and I really enjoyed my day with them as well. It felt so simple and easy. Towards the end of the day, we were lucky enough to get a lovely sunset sky, and those were definitely some of my favorite photos to create. I love this city, so I take any chance I can get to feature it in my art. The sparkling downtown Columbus skyline always makes for a great backdrop after the sunset.
