Senior Portraits Photography in Columbus | Trevor

From celebrating a milestone in your life and capturing this memorable time to getting some fantastic pictures of yourself for social media, there are a number of reasons for you to get your senior portraits done. It might take just a tiny bit of preparation and a few minutes in front of the camera, but it will leave you with memories and photos that you can cherish forever. And that’s why whenever I get to do senior portraits, I’m all excited and ready to create the best images possible for my lovely clients. So, when it was Trevor’s turn, I did the same, and together, we had fun creating some impressive senior portraits in Columbus.

Columbus Senior Portraits Photography

Trevor is a bright student and plays hockey. When I met him for the shoot, I just knew that we were going to have a great time together and create stellar portraits of this young lad - and incorporate some fun shots depicting his love for the game of hockey. We explored a few picturesque spots in Columbus, and I photographed Trevor against some imposing concrete structures. I also included architectural elements in the photos and made use of the pretty warm indoor lighting as well as the lovely natural light outdoors to highlight the beautiful features of this amazing young boy.

I loved how Trevor was all excited for this shoot and came up with three looks for the session. For the first two, he wore Columbus Blue Jackets jerseys in different colors, and his third one was a shirt over tee look. That checkered shirt looked so cool on him and suited his personality perfectly. However, what stood out for me were the jerseys Trevor put on for his first two looks to express his love for this professional ice hockey team. For a few pictures, Trevor even posed with a hockey stick in his hand. Remember what I told you about incorporating his passion for hockey into the images? This is how we weaved it into the visual story. To make the pictures more meaningful and showcase what’s important to Trevor, I also photographed him against and around a cannon while he was dressed in his hockey team jerseys. Now, you’d ask - why a cannon? That’s because a cannon is always fired at the Nationwide Arena before each home game for the Columbus Blue Jackets, each time they score on the ice, and after each victory that they register to their name. Well! Besides flaunting his love for ice hockey in style, Trevor also posed for all of the other pictures with ease. This young boy was quite photogenic and camera-friendly, and his confidence and easy vibes added so much charm to the pictures I took. Though it seemed Trevor had his pleasing and professional model-like expressions practiced, it was just magical when he broke into a smile for a few shots. And oh boy! That bright and happy face sure made the photos livelier. For me, as a photographer, it was an easy-breezy session! I loved photographing Trevor and spending time with him.
