Senior Portraits Photography in Columbus | Cecelia

I’ve been photographing senior portraits for years now, and I can say that every student I’ve met and interacted with has been unique and special in their own way. Just being in their company and getting to know about their future plans and their worldviews have been an enriching experience for me. These are some smart and bright people who strive to do their best in the fields they love and make the world a better place with their creative and brilliant ideas. Cecelia is no different! She is one lovely and radiant girl. And I was extremely excited to do this senior portraits session with her in Columbus, Ohio. We explored some picturesque spots for creating the photos and got plenty of stellar shots of this beautiful young lady. Besides the striking backdrops, a high-spirited and ever-smiling Cecelia made my work so easy and interesting.

When we met for the session, Cecelia was all set for the shoot with her selected looks. Guess what? She donned not one or two - but three different looks for this shoot. Her first dress was a gorgeous black and white checkered tunic. I loved how trendy yet comfortable this tiered top was, and Cecelia teamed it up with black bottoms and a pair of comfortable footwear. As a photographer, I feel comfy footwear is always a good idea for such sessions where you might have to move around a lot and sometimes even stand and pose at a stretch. To save yourself from getting tired and your feet achy, shoes are definitely a good option.

For her second look, Cecelia put on a lovely military green knotted top over a black one, while she was a sight to behold in yet another checked dress in her third look, but this time they were a combination of bigger, bright red and black patterns. Honestly, I loved how Cecelia changed her style and looked different in each attire, even while going with the same base clothes and shoes. Well, I told you, she is a smart girl!

From photographing her in front of earthy concrete structures to taking her photos against the greenery to posing her before a brick-red wall to creating some impressive portraits of her as she sat on a bench, I enjoyed it all. Cecelia also held a trumpet in her hands for a few shots, and I think that depicted her love for music, making the portraits all the more meaningful. Also, this photogenic young girl was incredibly comfortable in front of the camera. Her natural expressions made the pictures so much livelier, while her confidence added an easy charm to them. What a lovely session it was! And what a great workday I had with Cecelia. I loved photographing her and helping her celebrate this milestone in her life. And the images we got were exactly how we had envisioned them - fantastic!

Cecelia, you are awesome! Photographing you was a pleasure, and the time spent with you was so much fun. I enjoyed creating your senior portraits and want to take this opportunity to say that I’m aware of how school must have been so different for you, like most students for the past couple of years. All thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic. But, I hope that with these senior portraits, I was able to add some positivity to your senior year and help you celebrate this milestone in style. When the pandemic is a thing of the past, you will have these photos to remember this special time in your life, celebrate your accomplishments, and recall who you were at this point in time.
