Columbus Senior Portraits Photography | Madison

Meeting all those sharp and bright high school students and creating their senior portraits are some of the things I truly love and enjoy about my job. These sessions give me an opportunity to interact with all these young students, listen to their brilliant ideas, and be a part of their dreams for a better future. They show me things from a new perspective, and I can’t express in words how enriching and rewarding that experience is for me. So, when I got to interact with and create senior portraits of Madison, my excitement rose manifold! On the day of our session, we explored some picturesque spots in Columbus to create striking senior portraits of Madison and had so much fun in the process. As a result, the images I took of Madison to celebrate this milestone in her life turned out to be exactly as I had pictured them - impressive!

Senior Portraits Photography In Columbus

Madison is a senior and takes ballet. She is such a warm and friendly person, and I enjoyed spending time with her throughout our session. I was so happy to see that she was as excited about the session as I was and put in her efforts to make it count. Madison came up with not one or two but three different looks for the session. Her first one was a shirt over tee look paired with denim bottoms and shoes. For her second look, she wore a gorgeous knitted top and teamed it up with black pants while still donning the same footwear, which, in my opinion, was a good choice. These sessions can sometimes need you to move around a lot and even stand or pose at a stretch, so comfortable shoes are always an excellent option to save yourself from achy feet or a hurting back. And for a person practicing an art or a sport that involves footwork, this becomes even more important.

Now, it was time for Madison’s third look for the session, and she chose to dress up like a ballerina showcasing her love for the art form. She put on a beautiful flowy net dress and completed her look with a beautiful pair of pointe shoes. For this look, I made sure Madison didn’t have to move around a lot (of course, because of the toe shoes she was sporting). So, I created her portraits as she sat on some earthy concrete structures or leaned against a wall.

For the other looks during the course of our session, I photographed Madison against tall trees, wooden fences, and a red-bricked building. We used a lot of greenery as backdrops for the senior portraits, and the images turned out to be so beautiful! For a few of her shots, I asked Madison to sit on a wooden bench and highlight her love for music; she held a violin in her hands. I think this was a great way to make her personality and interests shine brighter in the photos I created of her. The young girl is so photogenic, and her natural expressions in front of the camera made the pictures come out livelier. Also, her confidence and bright smile throughout made my work quite easy-breezy.
