Winter Wedding Photography Columbus, Ohio
Stephen and Sarah's wedding was one to remember and I am honored to have been their wedding photographer. The love shined brightly as we got our first big snow of the season in Columbus, Ohio. The bride kept telling us that all she wanted on her wedding day was snow and it didn't disappoint. She didn't hesitate to head outside for snow filled photos and after starting at the Renaissance Hotel Downtown, we traveled to WatersEdge for the ceremony and reception.
Being limited to shooting mainly inside or during bad weather can prove to be a challenge for many photographers. While shooting outside on a cloudy fall day or under a blooming spring tree may be easy for many levels of photography, the true professionals are able to shoot in any situation. I began my photography career shooting mainly in studios and using high fashion lighting on location. While I am thankful to have flattering natural light when it is available, I also love shooting indoors and using creative lighting to make unique photographs that bring out the best qualities of my clients. We have a light for every job, but I especially love my "Martin Scorsese" lights that we use for our couples to make truly dramatic images filled with rich shadows and depth. I believe gorgeous images aren't just taken, they are made. It all starts with amazing light, no matter what the scenario.
My favorite image of the day was after dinner when we ran out into the snow and lit up the sky with our bride and groom creatively lit as well. What an amazing day and amazing couple!
