Margo | Columbus Senior Portrait Session

We live in a time when today’s youth are more tech-savvy than any generation before them. Armed with smartphones, they’ve mastered the art of selfies and turned their Instagram feeds into visual masterpieces. Whether it’s the endless practice from taking selfies or just a natural flair for posing, there’s no denying that they know how to take great photos. But when it comes to those truly special moments—like senior portraits—they need something a little more polished than a selfie stick can offer. Senior year is an exciting chapter, and capturing it in professional photos is the perfect way to mark this milestone. Recently, I had the absolute pleasure of capturing Margo’s senior portrait session, and she certainly dressed to impress. It was a wonderful day, and I hope these photos will always remind her of how far she’s come and all the incredible things she’s about to achieve!

Margo’s Senior Portrait Session

Margo arrived wearing an absolutely stunning pink dress. The color popped against the natural background, making her the star of the show. It’s always a joy to work with clients who are as excited about the session as I am, and Margo was no exception. From the moment she stepped in front of the camera, she was a natural. Her smile was genuine, her poses were effortless, and most importantly, she was having fun. We spent the afternoon exploring the venue, which had some incredible spots to capture those special moments. Every corner of the location seemed to be tailor-made for this shoot.

Margo and I discovered some absolutely gorgeous spots—places where the light hit just right or where the trees created a perfect frame for her. I always love how different locations can add personality and depth to a session, and Margo’s portraits are a testament to that. The venue’s combination of natural beauty and Margo’s stylish presence made every shot feel like something out of a magazine.

Senior year of high school is a year full of milestones. It’s the last year most students spend living at home with their parents, the last year with the friends they’ve grown up with, and it’s the year they officially become adults. It’s a season of life filled with excitement and a little bit of bittersweetness, too. That’s why senior portraits are so important—they’re not just pictures; they’re a way to commemorate all the achievements and memories leading up to this point while celebrating the bright future ahead. For Margo, I wanted to capture not just how beautiful she looked on the outside but also the excitement and hope she felt on the inside as she prepared for the next chapter.

Halfway through the session, Margo made a quick wardrobe change into another stunning dress. This one was just as chic and gorgeous as the first, and it gave us a whole new set of opportunities for some stylish shots. She looked effortlessly fashionable, and I was once again blown away by how comfortable she was in front of the camera. As we moved on to the second half of the session, we talked a little about her plans for the future.

Of course, college isn’t all sunshine and rainbows—there are challenges and hard times, just as there are good times and celebrations. But the growth and experiences that come from those challenges are what make it all worthwhile. Margo has so much to look forward to, and I can already tell she’s going to make the most of it!
