Polly & Louie's Columbus Museum Of Art Wedding
Polly & Louie's Columbus Museum Of Art Wedding
You say elegant and classy, I say my couple, Polly and Louie’s wedding! I photographed this gorgeous wedding in September this year and was left completely mesmerized by the lovely bond my couple shares as well as their awe-inspiring wedding venue. The couple tied the knot at the incredible Columbus Museum of Art. Immersed in art and history, the 19th-century museum not only made my couple’s big day even more special than it already was but also inspired me to create some stunning wedding photos. Everything about this wedding was just perfect from the word go. Right from the wedding details to the artwork installed at the venue, everything was photo-worthy and added so much charm to the photos I took! And the images turned out exactly as I had envisioned them - stellar!

Polly and Louie live in Arizona and had first met each other during college at Dueling Piano Bar. Five years later, my groom popped the question before my bride. Of course, she said ‘yes’, and here they were saying their I dos and celebrating their union with their loved ones. To allow people to get a glimpse into their beautiful story, my couple put a timeline on their save-the-date cards. I totally loved this idea and didn’t miss photographing the card.
At the wedding, I took solo portraits of my bride and groom, and then photographed them together. The images that stood out for me were those where they read letters to each other. The raw emotions and genuine expressions totally melted my heart and made for excellent photos too. The other images that I took of my couple, be it against the well-lit facade of the building or the ones with blue ceramic pots doubling up as the perfect props, came out stunning, and I loved composing each one of them. Another lovely photo was the one I got of my couple amid the colorful, knit artwork at the Columbus Museum - just the right way of weaving their story together through my photos!
The ceremony site outdoors was sublime! It allowed me to create photos of my bride and groom and their guests amid leafy foliage and lush greenery. It was so refreshing to be in that setting, with so much love in the air and immense positive vibes all around. The reception venue was flawless too. The decor was in sync with the wedding theme and looked classy. From raising toasts to enjoying fantastic music by the Arch City Lights band, my couple and their guests seemed to have a wonderful time throughout. Polly and Louie’s first dance was dreamy, and the kiss they shared as husband and wife was super romantic! I loved how my bride enjoyed dancing with her girls while the groom shook a leg with his boys. It was such a lively and great way to step into their new life together.
