New Orleans Engagement | Diante & Matea
There is a magic in New Orleans that is most brilliant when every street tells a story. I was fortunate to experience this magic in my recent New Orleans engagement session for my wonderful couple, Diante and Matea. They flew me there from Ohio for this, and it was so special! It was a surreal feeling as I captured their love story unfolding against the gorgeous backdrops of the city! Let me take you through the memory lane of this wonderful day, where love, happiness, and the vibrant Big Easy converged to produce an experience so unforgettable.
Photographing Diante & Matea’s New Orleans Engagement
This New Orleans engagement was an absolute blast; it took my heart away in the most beautiful ways! I was blown away by the sight of the vibrant city; the pathway covered in beautiful florals, fanciful old houses with green doors, and gardens with verdant greenery provided numerous stunning spots for Diante and Matea’s engagement. Plus, witnessing the lovebirds' heartfelt connection translate into every photograph made my job an absolute joy.
Cityscape, amusement parks, and flower gardens made this photoshoot less boring but the touch of whimsical and simply romantic to have each frame warm and alive. In addition, the outstanding weather graced us with perfect sunlight, casting a golden glow over us and enhancing the beauty of their engagement. This shoot was a beautiful celebration of love in the most natural way.
It was amazing how my lovely couple managed to display their warmth and love for each other on the quaint New Orleans streets and made them feel so special. It was truly magical. Amid the well-painted scenery, this lovely city served as the background for unfolding their unique and unforgettable love story.
With every click of my camera I was able to immortalize those real moments of Diante and Matea; from tender gazes to joyous smiles, painting a portrait of a couple deeply in love. I loved how their amazing chemistry showed up in their poses even if they weren’t aware of how beautiful they were. Regardless if they held gaze in each other's eyes or strolled hand in hand through the beautiful settings, they posed gracefully and joyfully. Letting me document firsthand the unspoken language that the two lovers happen to have.
I can still recall one of the striking sideteps during the session: We ran into a bridge and Matea and Diante were immersed in their love while they posed and the water beneath reflected the serene atmosphere. It was as though time stood motionless, depicting something straight out of a fairytale.
With the golden hour coming down, I captured the sky being reborn into a stunning canvas of tones of colors, which made the environment perfect for taking pictures of these two lovebirds in their element. The blue hour sky provided an enchanting backdrop as Diante and Matea filled the frame with their romantic poses. I was so impressed as these two were their natural romantic selves. Needless to say, I couldn't get enough of how they filled the air with their beaming smiles. As I look at this wonderful day with the pair, it reminds me once again why I love my job!
