Lauren and Duane’s wedding celebration at Hanover Reserve in Hamilton was truly magical. The venue itself was so gorgeous and the perfect setting for their special day with its rustic and elegant feel, with stunning details and tributes to classic country style everywhere I looked. The decor and setup were stylish, elegant and chic! Lauren and Duane put so much effort into making sure every detail was perfect and everything photographed beautifully. It was a joy to work with Lauren and Duane for their wedding at Hanover Reserve.
Lauren And Duane’s Hanover Reserve Wedding
I started the day off photographing Lauren and Duane as they were getting ready for their big day. Lauren, who got ready with her bridesmaids, had an infectious energy, which the group joined in with. The bride did a first look with all of her bridesmaids and it was such an emotional moment, the mix of reactions of joy, excitement, and happy tears said it all. To add a more intimate touch, both Lauren and Duane decided to share personal notes they had written for each other - it felt like a special private moment I was very privileged to capture. It was all a beautiful start to their big day.
Lauren and Duane's traditional church wedding ceremony was breathtaking. The grand church had soaring ceilings and large windows and its beauty alone made it easy to feel like love was truly in the air. Everyone gathered to celebrate the union and happiness radiated from that room. Lauren made her way down the aisle looking ethereal in her wedding dress with its long train trailing behind her, with a smile only for the groom. The couple was glowing with love as they said their ‘I do’s’. It was such an incredible moment and I am so honored to have captured it forever in photographs. PThey exited the church under a shower of bubbles and smiles.
Photographing the newlyweds for their couples portraits was an absolute pleasure. I photographed them at various locations in the church, some outdoors and at Hanover Reserve, which I must say was a stunning setting for the photos. Lauren and Duane were total pros in front of the camera; walking hand-in-hand, stealing kisses, and being their true romantic selves. Seeing the way they looked at each other, it was impossible not to be moved. Soon, their pet dog joined in on the couples portraits too and I loved how our furry friend was dressed on point for the celebration.
The reception’s photographic high points included a roaring fireplace, a four-tier cake, tall and elegant lit candles enclosed in glass, an indoor sparkler display, shooting sparks from two bases on either side of the couple, and a table sized ice sculpture with the first initials of the couple’s last name! There was also the opportunity for sparkler photos when the guests moved outside near sunset.
The entire day was so romantic and enjoyable to be part of - all their closest friends surrounded them and showered them with love. Capturing these moments was an absolute honor. It's moments like these that make being a wedding photographer one of the best jobs in the world.
