Graduation is a special and exciting time for students as they are about to step into the real world and start a new phase in their lives. As these young brilliant minds gear up and set out to explore the world, I love making their senior portraits as memorable as possible! Over the years, I have come across inspiring stories from my clients who share their future goals with me, and quite honestly, that gets me excited for the future. My recent senior portrait session with Sophie was another great experience. Sophie chose to have her senior portraits at the beautiful Franklin Park Conservatory in Ohio. A stunning place for an equally stunning senior!
Sophie’s Columbus Senior Portrait Session
It is so interesting to hear and see what the future generation thinks about the world and what they want to achieve in their lives. I think it is really awesome that students have set goals for themselves, and in the process, they teach me so much as well! Shooting senior portraits gives me so much joy and a fresh perspective too.
Another thing I love about photographing senior portraits is the enthusiasm and efforts that my seniors put in. From their outfit choices to their poses and even the locations, these guys come prepared, and it was no different with Sophie! She picked out four outfits for her seniors portraits, and each one fit perfectly well with the backdrops we found at the enchanting Franklin Park Conservatory.
The lighting at the Franklin Park Conservatory perfectly aligned with what Sophie wanted in her senior portraits. I am always impressed with the kind of patience seniors have these days. Since I wanted each one of her outfits to have a different kind of backdrop and get more variety in the photos, we almost did like a tour of the conservatory, and even with high heels on, Sophie happily hopped from one spot to another.
Natural backdrops are the USP of the Franklin Park Conservatory, and since the weather was on our side, Sophie looked absolutely stunning as she confidently posed with the lush greenery and colorful flowers. Sophie, if you're reading this, I just want to say that the camera loves you! You were a total star!
We also took some mesmerizing pictures under a gorgeous garden trellis, which was covered with dense green vines. Sophie took the opportunity to make the garden archway and the cemented path as her own little runway and posed with such grace and beauty. The best part was that Sophie's bright smile never went missing, even for a second, and I loved how she was so confident in front of the camera! Overall, with her outfit choices, poses, a dazzling style, and the hair and makeup - Sophie looked absolutely picture-perfect.
