Franklin Park Senior Photos | Ava

Senior photography sessions have always been delightful experiences. Through all my years as a photographer, I've had numerous senior portraits sessions, and each time, it’s been a pleasure getting to meet these incredibly smart and beautiful young minds. As I get to know my senior portraits clients better, their stories and aspirations genuinely bring me so much joy! Honestly, I think it’s really exciting and inspiring to hear about things they are passionate about and their goals in life. I had a similar experience when I met Ava, who wanted to take her senior portraits at the Franklin Park Conservatory in Columbus. A brilliant location for such a brilliant girl!

I absolutely love it when these youngsters put in the effort to make their senior portraits session special and memorable. Ava's enthusiasm for her session, for which she selected four outfits, was no different. Her first outfit was a navy blue summer dress that she wore with such poise. I was truly impressed by how she carried herself and how comfortable she was in front of the camera. The color was perfect for our surroundings, and the best part was how confidently Ava posed, never letting that big smile leave her face.

Next, she wore denim jeans and a white top, teamed with beige wedges. My aim while taking senior portraits is to bring out each client’s individuality. One thing that really struck me about Ava was how genuinely warm and confident she was. Those power poses just kept coming one after another! Plus, her second outfit also perfectly aligned with the lush greenery around us, making the photos look more vibrant. Ava then changed to a brown top and, again, hit bull’s eye with the outfit and her poses!

Even when I am taking senior portraits, I feel like every picture has a story to tell. And when my clients feel free to be themselves and just enjoy the moment, my day and job turn easy-breezy. Ava’s last look was a stunning black dress paired with leopard-print heels. She certainly has a knack for fashion and styling because each one of her outfits was so on point! While the other outfits were more casual-chic, this black dress somehow transformed her from a high school senior to a young lady ready to go out into the world and do great things! Another wonderful thing about working with Ava was her charismatic and positive energy. It was so contagious and I could feel that even when I was looking at the images.
